Wether it’s a dog, a cat, or even a hamster, it’s indeed possible to take your pet on the road. For some people, travelling with their pet is safe. For others, it’s just too heartbreaking to leave them at home. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that they deserve a special place to become a faithful partner in your adventures.

We consulted the large community of Roadlofters for their best tricks for travelling with your furry friend. Indeend, travelling in a confined space can be restrictive, but we believe that the following tips will help you.

Slowly accustom your pet

Start with small outings lasting a few hours, especially if he is not used to being in the vehicle being on the road. The goal is to expose him to different environments to validate its ability to adapt.

Do not change its habits too much

Taking your dog or kitty to the shower or to the grocery store is not easy. Legally (and fortunately) it is forbidden to leave your pet alone in your vehicle, unless it has sufficient clean air and the car is parked in a shaded area.
