Our story
Convinced that traveling in your minivan, SUV, hatchback or pickup truck offers the perfect balance between comfort and adventure, we happily share our economical and eco-friendly alternative to the big RV.
In 2016, we discovered the vanlife and quickly fell in love with this way of traveling. The minivan allowed us to both adventure AND sleep in our little home on wheels.
Over the next three years, we spent more than 8 months a year living full-time in our minivan. Our economical, simple and comfortable solution not only allowed us to discover beautiful landscapes, but also to live in them. Our minivan has allowed us to travel across North America, discovering all of Eastern Canada, spending a full summer in the Yukon, exploring the West Coast of Canada and the United States, and several states in the Southwestern United States.
In 2018, our experience, coupled with an industrial designer, inspired THE optimal design, one that would optimize comfort and practical functionality, while minimizing day-to-day handling.
That’s how the Roadloft story begins. A detachable conversion kit that transforms your everyday vehicle into an ergonomic and comfortable camper in just a few minutes without any modification. Spontaneous getaways and road trips are now possible with our economical but superior camper solution.

We offer an accessible, ecological, sustainable and ergonomic alternative to allow people to go on spontaneous getaways more often, to get out of their routine and live new experiences.
And this in the same vehicle they use for their daily life. With a minimal investment that retains its value.
Our values
Autonomy
Autonomy is a value as much linked to our product as to the preferred method for supervising our employees. We offer the opportunity to our customers to be autonomous in their way of traveling and to our employees in their way to work. We aim to replace the "do this!" with "what are you going to do and why?". Our goal: to develop a sense of autonomy in carrying out tasks and to facilitate the identification of problematic situations or the creation of solutions. This autonomy is also demonstrated in the flexibility of schedules and taking leave.
Environment
Each time Roadloft makes a decision, we must answer yes to the question "Is it good for the environment?". If the answer is no, research will be done and the decision will be reconsidered. Sustainability, ecology, zero waste and circular economy are all elements and concepts that are taken into consideration.
Innovation
Innovation is also a central element that guides all decisions made at Roadloft. Our goal : to put on the road a product at the cutting edge of technology and trends, but also to choose up-to-date management methods. Employees are strongly encouraged to participate in this innovation by proposing new methodologies or by identifying the sources of loss or non-performance.

We picked up our Roadloft Conversion kit in August 2021. Product installation and function proved to be exactly as advertised.

I fully enjoy vanlife since I bought my Roadloft kit over a year ago. With Roadloft, you can easily go on spontaneous camping trips. No need to prepare everything during hours and unpack the next day anymore. I am always ready to take the road knowing that my camping gear is already in place, well packed in my van.

We ordered our kit without having seen it
We used to go camping with a tent. For us, switching to vanlife was a big upgrade. We ordered our kit without having seen it in person, so we changed our Mazda for a Grand Caravan knowing we were doing the right thing. It turned out to be true.
We absolutely love our Roadloft conversion kit and we are gradually planning our next trip on the East Coast and then, in BC to finally meet our newly born grandson. This is the true freedom!

Daniel Zawacki2024-09-05Notre kit pour une Dodge Grand Caravan 2019 a été installé par vos soins le 6 septembre dernier. L'installation et la formation ont été excellentes et n'ont pas pris de temps. Sortie de vos locaux, nous avons pris la route pour la Gaspésie. Nous avons fait le tour de la Gaspésie pendant environ 10 jours et nous sommes rentrés au NB pour aller sur l'ile Miscou y passer une dizaine de jours. Retour par Matane, traversée vers Baie-Comeau, les Escoumins, Manic 2 et enfin de retour chez nous à Cowansville après 29 jours de voyage et 4000 km de route. Un superbe voyage, découverte d'endroits magnifiques, et tout ça dans le confort de notre Van Roadloft. Nous sommes tellement excités que nous préparons déjà d'autres randonnées et peut-être un voyage dans le sud cet hiver.

Puisque notre véhicule est très récent, l’équipe s’est affairé à faire l’installation et tous les ajustements nécessaires pour un fonctionnement optimal.
