The Roadloft mattress is so comfortable that many users actually prefer it over their mattress at home.
Our kits are designed with space optimization and ergonomics in mind. That’s why we carefully considered the ideal thickness for our mattress. It measures 3.5 inches thick (2.5 inches of high-density polyurethane foam (HR 30 kg/m³) topped with 1 inch of memory foam) and was developed in collaboration with a kinesiologist to ensure maximum comfort on the road.
You can try it out at our workshop by appointment only.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
At Roadloft, our customer’s safety is our number one priority. Each one of our kits includes an attachment system that binds the kit to the vehicle. This was tested and approved to guarantee your safety on the road.
An electric cooler consumes much more energy than a refrigerator and usually offers only a 20°C temperature difference from the outside. So, on hot summer days, you often need to add ice to keep things cold. In contrast, with a refrigerator, you can set the exact temperature you want.
An electric cooler runs continuously, which quickly drains your battery. A refrigerator, however, is much better insulated and has a compressor, so it only runs for a few minutes per hour. For example, if it’s set to 5°C, it will only turn on when the internal temperature rises, and it will stop as soon as it reaches the set temperature again.
So, on a 25°C day, the refrigerator might run for as little as 15 minutes per hour, while the cooler would run non-stop the entire hour.
For more energy autonomy tips, check out this blog post.
The Roadloft conversion kits allows for a non-permanent transformation of your vehicle into a camper, which means you can save on both insurance and registration. You won’t need to pay for recreational vehicle insurance, resulting in significant savings.

No. The advantage of the Camper Van Kit is that it’s fully modular. You can start your conversion with the required bed-bench module, then purchase and install the other modules as your needs evolve.
Yes. In our case, we used the space behind the driver’s seat to install two seats for our boys. The bed-bench module makes the space very cozy to sit together for meals. If your kids are a bit older, we also recommend the Luno Van Cab Mattress It creates a comfortable sleeping spot in the cab area of your vehicle, perfect for one child.
If you choose the Bed-Garage module, you'll have ample space under the bed frame for your equipment. Alternatively, you can add supports to the side or top of your van. Several options are available specifically for camper vans.
Option 1: Ideal for those who want their vehicle now but want to maintain control over their choice of conversion options.
This option allows you to finance both projects separately, distinguishing the costs between the vehicle and the camper conversion.
Option 2: Ideal for those starting from scratch and wanting a turnkey solution
Simplifies cost management by consolidating everything in one place and integrates the conversion project cost into the vehicle financing.
Simpler: 1 purchase, 1 financing, 1 payment.
Option 3: Ideal for those who already own a vehicle and only want to finance the conversion
Financing tailored for camper conversion projects. Apply here: https://www.desjardins.com/qc/en/loans-credit/auto-other-vehicle-financing/recreational-vehicle-loan.html

Allows you to progress at your own pace, respect your priorities, and test your needs before committing. Offers flexibility and the possibility of reducing the total cost of the project in the long run.
The Sink Unit has a double-bottom compartment designed for the installation of a heating system.
We installed an Eberspacher heating system.
We recommend the Porta-Potti 135 or the Dometic 972 or 975 portable toilet, which are compatible with the drawer's dimensions.
Yes, the roof of your ProMaster must be drilled to allow for the installation and proper use of the fan. Depending on wich Installation Package you use, we can do it for you.
At the moment, the Camper Van Kit doesn’t include a built-in shower module. However, you have two great options:
Yes. We offer Thinsulate insulation to install in the walls of your conversion, and the Roadloft floor and ceiling are pre-insulated.Here are our tips for insulation and all-season travel in a ProMaster.
The Roadloft Camper Van conversion is designed to be easily installed and removed, like other Roadloft kits. However, since it involves more pieces, this process is much longer.
Yes. Plan for a few hours to uninstall your camper setup and store it away.
Roadloft camper conversions allow for a non-permanent modification of your vehicle into a camper, saving you the expenses for RV insurance. Since you should already have vehicle insurance on your van, you only need to insure your conversion as equipment. It's important to confirm the value of your camper conversion with your insurer to ensure you get the appropriate coverage.
If you make permanent modifications to your vehicle (adding a window, installing a heating system, Maxxfann, etc.), consult your insurance company to obtain the appropriate coverage.
Depending on your Installation Package, we can take care of those for you.
Anywhere you like! Mount them on the walls of your ProMaster wherever it suits you to make your camper van ergonomic and organized to your needs. We recommend the Slim Upper Cabinets in the bed area for a clutter-free and tidy space.

Yes, you can install a larger water tank under your van and connect it to our system.

For now, only the induction cooktop is offered with the Camper Van Conversion Kit. When the propane cooktop will be available, the propane tank will be isolated in its unique little box. Coming soon!
Minivan Kit
To make sure that your minivan is compatible with our camper conversion kit, please check our Compatibility Guide.
Choosing the right minivan model for your conversion depends on your needs. We’ve designed a camper conversion kit specifically for each minivan model because the dimensions, height differences, and curves vary from one vehicle to another. Unlike our SUV and Pickup kits, Minivan kits are not universal.
If your minivan has the Stow and Go option, you can fold the seats into the floor and install the kit on top. If you need to use the passenger seats during your trip, simply move the bench and table modules to the back and bring the seats back up from the floor.
If your minivan does not have the Stow and Go feature, the passenger seats must be completely removed, and you won’t be able to use them at the same time as the kit.
However, if you want to keep the Roadloft camper conversion kit in your minivan and still use your seats occasionally, you can shift the modules to the back and reinstall your seats when needed.
Check our Compatibility Guide to see whether the rear seats in your minivan need to be removed.
Second-row seats: If your minivan has the Stow and Go option: simply fold the seats into the floor when using the kit — no need to remove them. If your seats are not foldable: they need to be removed to install the kit.
Good news! Our kit is designed to make the second row accessible by shifting the bench and table section of the kit toward the back. This means you can quickly reinstall the second-row seats for passenger use — no need to disassemble the entire kit. Watch our video to see how it works.
Third-row seats: Most vehicles require the removal of the third-row seats to use the Roadloft kit.
Exceptions:
Recommendation: We still recommend removing the third-row seats to increase your storage space for food, water, and your fridge.
Yes, there is space at the foot of the bed for a portable toilet. We recommend the Porta-Potti 135 or the Domestic 972 ou 975, they are the right size for the alloted space.
You can travel with up to 4 people using the Minivan kit, but only if your vehicle has the Stow and Go option. Simply move the kit’s bench module to the back of the vehicle and put the second-row seats back in place to access the passenger seats.
Note: When the camper kit is in bed-mode, it can accomodate 2 adults and 1 child. It is not possible to sleep 4 people in the Minivan camper conversion kit, so a tent or annex tent must be used if necessary.
Minivans equipped with Stow and Go in the second row are the most convenient for traveling with 4 people.
Compatible models:
These models let you fold the second-row seats into the floor and install the kit without needing to remove the seats.
For other models: Thanks to our modular kit design, you can free up space in the second row by shifting the bench and table section to the rear of the vehicle. This allows you to quickly reinstall the seats when needed. Most seats use a clip system, making them easy to remove and reinstall.

SUV CAMPER KIT
To make sure that you SUV or Hatchback is compatible with our kits, please check our Compatibility Guide.
With the SUV camper kit, you can access your passenger seats at all times. Just remove the kit’s boards, place them between the seatbacks and the kitchen module, and you’re good to go!
There is no space for a toilet in this kit.
You can travel with up to 4 people using the SUV camper kit. Move the kit’s bed panels to the rear of the vehicle and put the rear passenger seats back in place to free up two seats.
Note: It is not possible to sleep 4 people inside the SUV camper kit. A tent will be needed to accommodate two people.

Our SUV and Hatchback camper kits fit several car models, but it all depends on the size of the rear space. Depending on the dimensions of your trunk, the kit may or may not fit, so it’s important to check the measurements.
To be sure, check the compatibility guide.
To make sure that your truck is compatible with our pickup camper kit, please check our Compatibility Guide.
Since the entire truck camper conversion is installed in the truck bed, the passenger seats remain accessible at all times.
It is possible to have a portable toilet if the kit is in solo mode, or you can store it on your passenger seats.
You can travel with up to 4 people using the Pickup truck camper kit, as the setup is installed in the truck bed, leaving all passenger seats available.
Note: In the Full-Size truck camper kit, the bed platform in double-mode is large enough to accomodate 2 adults and 1 small child. It is not possible to sleep 4 people inside the Pickup truck kit, so a tent or rooftop tent should be used if needed.
Our pickup truck camper conversion kit is available in two sizes (mid-size or full-size): simply check the dimensions of your truck bed. If it matches your model, the kit is easy to install, regardless of the make or model.
