Limited Warranty – 60 Months

Until April 11, 2025 inclusive, Roadloft’s warranty coverage was limited to twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. 
This updated sixty (60) month warranty policy applies exclusively to products purchased on or after April 12, 2025, as indicated on the purchase invoice. 

 

The purchaser must use the conversion kit manufactured by ÉQUIPEMENTS ROADLOFT INC. (“Roadloft”) in accordance with the instructions contained in the user and maintenance manual provided at the time of purchase. The purchaser is solely responsible for any damage, breakage, or premature deterioration resulting from improper use, lack of maintenance, incorrect installation, or any usage not intended by the manufacturer. 

All products and accessories not manufactured by Roadloft are covered exclusively by the applicable warranty from their respective manufacturers. These items must always be used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. 

Duration and Warranty Coverage

Roadloft products are warranted against manufacturing and material defects for a period of sixty (60) months, or five (5) years, from the date indicated on the purchase invoice. Coverage is applied on a declining scale as follows:

The above percentages represent the portion of eligible costs that will be covered by Roadloft. 
All other related expenses, including shipping, handling, diagnostics, and installation, remain the responsibility of the purchaser.  

Roadloft reserves the right to repair or replace only the defective component(s). Full product replacement will only be offered if repair is deemed impossible or economically unreasonable.   

This warranty does not cover cosmetic defects that do not affect the functionality of the product. 
It is strictly limited to the original purchaser named in the sales agreement and is non-transferable and non-refundable. 

Warranty Claim Procedure

All warranty claims must be submitted in writing to info@roadloft.com within 15 business days of discovering the defect. 

The written notice must include the following: 

  • Proof of purchase (invoice indicating the date of purchase); 
  • A detailed description of the defect; 
  • Photographs clearly showing the condition of the product. 

Damaged Package Upon Delivery

In the event of visible damage to the package upon delivery: 

  1. Do not open the package immediately. 
  2. Take photographs of the box from multiple angles to properly document the exterior damage. 
  3. Carefully open the package only after photographs are taken. 
  4. Photograph the condition of the product inside if damage is present. 

All claims related to damaged packages must be submitted to Roadloft within ten (10) business days of delivery. 
Claims received after this deadline will not be accepted. 

The written notice must include: 

  • Proof of purchase; 
  • A description of the damage; 
  • Photographs of the damaged product; 
  • Photographs of the packaging before it was opened. 

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty shall be void if: 

  • The product was used abnormally or for purposes other than those intended; 
  • The product was exposed to an unsuitable or extreme environment; 
  • The product was modified or altered by anyone other than an authorized Roadloft representative; 
  • The product was repaired by an unauthorized party. 

Repairs or Replacement Outside Warranty Coverage

All components of the conversion kit are repairable or replaceable at the purchaser’s expense unless otherwise covered under this warranty. 

A detailed quote will be provided to the purchaser, who must: 

  1. Approve the quote in writing; 
  2. Pay the total amount stated. 

Repair or replacement work will begin only once both of the above conditions are met. 

Shipping and Handling Fees

Unless stated otherwise in the Return and Exchange Policy, the purchaser is responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to Roadloft, including transportation, handling, and packaging. 
If Roadloft covers these costs on behalf of the purchaser, the amount will be billed to the original payment method. 

Limitation of Liability

The purchaser is solely responsible for using Roadloft products safely and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdiction where the product is used. 

Subject to the terms of this warranty, Roadloft shall not be held liable for: 

  • Any bodily injury (including illness or death); 
  • Any material damages (including breakage, loss, or incurred costs) resulting directly or indirectly from the use of the product. 

Additional Provisions

  • Governing Law: 
    This warranty is governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and applicable Canadian federal laws. 
    Any dispute regarding the interpretation or enforcement of this warranty shall be submitted to the competent courts in the judicial district of Québec. 
  • Definition of “Defect”: 
    A “defect” refers to a manufacturing or material fault that significantly affects the functionality of the product. 
    Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, and minor aesthetic imperfections are not considered defects under this warranty. 
  • Customized or Modified Products: 
    Any product manufactured to custom specifications or modified at the purchaser’s request is excluded from the standard warranty, unless expressly stated in writing by Roadloft.
